Welcome to Norbury Hall, a truly unique care home. The beautifully restored Grade II listed 17th century building is set in 9 acres of landscaped parkland and provides a tranquil peaceful environment which our residents enjoy. Norbury Hall and is a member of the Social Care Commitment. This initiative is a voluntary commitment to improve the quality of care provided in social care. The ethos at Norbury Hall is centred around our Residents’ well being; the pillars of which are choice, dignity, privacy and respect. Our well trained staff are always respectful of these principles and aim to ensure that they are adhered to, thus providing the very finest standards of person centred care. One of our key strengths is that we provide a highly individualised service.
Each Resident at Norbury Hall has their own unique personal care plan that specifies their care needs, personal preferences and tastes which is regularly reviewed. We do not want to remove one’s independence but instead support them to be as independent as possible. We are proud that in our most recent unannounced inspection, we meet all the Outcomes. We wish to be our residents’ forever home so we strive to maintain independence for as long as possible meaning resident’s are empowered to live their lives as they wish and be in control of their lifestyle.
We strive to ensure that the care provided is personal and unique. Resident’s are treated with respect and dignity, aiming to promote privacy and high professional standards of care. We know this approach to care works well through our internal mapping tools which highlight good practice and identify area’s for change. We believe residents’ we care for should be treated as we would want to be treated ourselves and we train our staff through this style of self-reflective practice.
